Can you tell us more about your concrete experience of the lockdown ?
Luckily I haven’t been confronted the virus yet and I try to do my best to keep my self safe from it. I actually started the lockdown by myself 2 weeks earlier than the official day because I took it very seriously.
I live in a farm so actually my lockdown is pretty nice because I am surrounded by nature. And in a farm, you always have thing to do. For the first time in my life I have realized how lucky I am to live here. I can enjoy the sun everyday and do many activities outside. I am spending my time doing many activities, staying in touch with horses (my fav animals) who inspire me as they represent freedom, painting, meditating and doing workout.
What is your personal state of mind ?
I actually never changed my mental status, everyday of my life I am always happy and positive because I fight to keep doing what I love: painting. Of course I miss people but I know the sun will be back shining again. We have just to wait.
My mission in life is to create emotions and values for other people, so this is what I look and fight for. Being a painter for me is what I feel inside and I love, and a mission to bring on. This “sick” world needs more colors, and I think this is what I am here for.
Does the lockdown experience have an impact on your art ?
I was actually starting experimenting some new techniques, ideas and medium. I started working on water color paper for example. It gaves me the impetus to work even more with warm color as they bring energy, which is what we need now.
During this time I am also being invited to do online art workshop and online interview. It’s pretty good to see how also the art communication changed during this period, and the art world is taking everything into digital communication and experiencing some new opportunities in sharing art that we never thought about before.
Do you practice your art during the lockdown ? if yes, can you tell us about your new pieces ?
I am into new pieces and taking this time to experience something new. My last pieces are very colorful and I am now working on new mediums as well. I think the emotions we can get from an artworks are generated by using colors. They are simply present in nature so I think they represent pure art.
