The "Deconstructed Series" was inspired by vibrant lunches with friends on the island of St. Barths. I aimed to capture the spirit and simplicity of the lifestyle by sketching dancing bodies and fruits, fitting them together on the page, and transferring these pairings onto canvas. The distinctive silhouette shape emerged as my signature style. I have reinterpreted these forms in varied patterns and styles to evoke dancing, conversation, and intimacy, capturing the essence of life on the island.
