My work explores the intimate dialogue between humanity and the natural world through magnified interpretations of marine forms. Drawn to the architecture of seashells—primitive spirals shaped by time, tide, and erosion—I enlarge these quiet objects until they become monumental presences. In doing so, I invite viewers to encounter nature not as background, but as a force of origin, memory, and continuity.

Highly polished surfaces reflect the surrounding landscape and the observer, creating an ever-changing interplay between environment and self. This reflectivity collapses the distance between viewer and sculpture; the work exists only in relation to its context. It is a reminder that our bodies, our actions, and our choices are inseparable from the ecosystems that shape us.

The glowing interiors echo the vitality hidden within even the simplest natural forms. Light becomes a metaphor for inner life—for the energies, histories, and unseen rhythms embedded in the ocean and its creatures. By contrasting a luminous core with a fluid, metallic exterior, I explore the tension between the organic and the engineered, the ancient and the contemporary.

Rooted in my connection to island landscapes, these sculptures are both homage and warning: an homage to the sea as a source of creation, and a reminder of the fragility and preciousness of the environments we inhabit. Through these forms, I hope to awaken a renewed sense of presence, reverence, and responsibility.
