How are you experiencing the lockdown? What is your state of mind?

I spend my days in peace, reading, painting, and doing the backstroke. Calm and positive, constantly realizing how lucky I am to be in St Barth, preserved, surrounded by that "calm, luxury, and voluptuousness" dear to the other great Charles, but also carrying a permanent feeling of powerlessness in the face of the spectacle of a world that risks disappearing. Ecology, the economy its enemy, awareness of the essential, nature violated, already badly damaged in St Barth.

What remains is possible harmony, rediscovered thanks to people of good will, the courageous, people with heart. And painting, music.

The brutal awakening leading to an uncontrollable chaos remains conceivable. Governments are not up to the situation and those who want to remain in power are already adopting stupid and totalitarian methods, against the current of the possible survival of our animal aspirations but also artistic, literary, musical, and philosophical ones.

Has this lockdown experience had an impact on your artistic approach? Are you practicing during the lockdown? If so, can you tell us about your new works?

This new experience demands reflection, a re-evaluation of everything, priorities, health, family, children, all children, the absolute avoidance of abuse, which is unbearable. This doesn't always facilitate peace of mind for work. Strive for the positive, strive for life.
